Based on registration statistics according to the American Kennel Club, the most popular dog breeds for 2007 are as follows:

  1. Labrador Retriever
  2. Yorshire Terrier
  3. German Shepherd
  4. Golden Retriever
  5. Beagle
  6. Boxer
  7. Dachshund
  8. Poodle
  9. Shih Tzu
  10. Bulldog

The Bulldog has not made the Top Ten List since 1935!

Hi, Glad to see the list of most popular dog breeds for 2007 and best of all to see our shih-tzu has made the top ten. Thanks for sharing.

Labrador Retriever, love them. I have a yellow lab. She was the Mommy of the seeing eye dogs. She is the sweetest dog ever. I have had lots of Boxers around me too. They’re a lot of fun.
